    There will surely be amendments proposed that will strip that provision from the bill. Even if it passes the full senate the house version of the bill would need to contain the provision (which it probably won’t). But even if it passes in both houses the conference committee which synchronizes the language of the house and senate bills will probably strip it out before final votes in both chambers because the president will surely veto a bill containing such a provision.

    In other words, this is not news. The travel restrictions aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
